Afternoon Delight: Megan Fox removes Marilyn Monroe from her forearm, Lady Gaga on “The Simpsons”

Good afternoon!

Emmy Award winner and scene-stealer Maile Flanagan (3 Way) is taking her comedic talents to Justin Tanner‘s new play, Day Drinkers. Day Drinkers opens this Saturday, August 27 and runs through October 9 at The Odyssey Theater (2055 South Sepulveda Blvd. Los Angeles, CA).

Megan Fox is removing some of her ink. The 25-year old siren revealed to the Italian fashion magazine Amica that she’s erasing her famous Marilyn Monroe tattoo from her right forearm. Fox said, “I’m removing it. It is a negative character. She suffered from personality disorders and was bipolar. I don’t want to attract this kind of negative energy in my life. And who knows? I’m thinking of removing some other tattoos, but the pain in the sessions of laser removal is terrible.”

On Sunday, August 28, Jennifer Lawrence will reveal an exclusive first look at The Hunger Games during the MTV’s Video Music Awards. No word on what we will see but hopefully there will be a shot of Katniss shooting her masterful arrows.

Speaking of the 2011 VMAs, Lady Gaga will open Sunday’s show with some kind of spectacular performance in a jaw-dropping and questionable outfit. The busy megastar has also signed on to guest star on Fox’s The Simpsons. (The Simpsons is still on the air?) Gaga’s voice and cartoon image will appear on the “Lisa Goes Gaga” episode. Gaga “winds up trying to cheer up a dejected Lisa through the power of speech, song, and a flash mob.” Flash mobs always lift my spirits.

Gaga spoke to EW about how nervous she was during her voiceover session. “I make music, but I don’t do voice-overs every day of the week, and their characters are so awesomely convincing and sincere and wild and funny, I had to remind myself constantly of the sincerity of the humor,” she said. “That’s what I was trying to focus on, not putting on a character too much and really being as sincere as I could with the lines. I would say this is one of the coolest things I’ve ever done.”

The Simpsons‘ executive producer Al Jean also raved about Gaga’s guest spot, saying, “For the first time in the history of The Simpsons, we are honored to have on a show business legend who is younger than our show.” “Lisa Goes Gaga” airs in spring 2012.

The Woman is coming! The horror film “follows a man who discovers a feral woman while on a hunting trip.” So what should one do with a feral woman? Well, this guy traps her and locks her in a cellar in an attempt to domesticate her. She’s not a dog!

Pollyanna McIntosh stars in the controversial film which screened at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Check out the film’s gruesome poster below. The Woman will have its UK premiere on Saturday, August 27 during FrightFest.

Tonight the one and only glasses-wearing Rachel Maddow will be on CBS’s Late Show with David Letterman. Tomorrow night (Wednesday, August 24) Our Idiot Brother‘s Rashida Jones will stop by Chelsea Lately and Thursday, August 25th there will be a repeat appearance of Grey’s Anatomy‘s Sara Ramirez on The View. (The episode originally aired on April 22, 2011.)
