Afternoon Delight: Lifetime reveals its “Steel Magnolias” cast, Lena Headey covers “Entertainment Weekly”

Good afternoon everyone!

Happy birthday to Holly Hunter! Do you remember Hunter’s sexy lady on lady dance fantasy scene in Living Out Loud? (Fast forward to the 3:35 mark to see Hunter in action.)

Lena Headey (Imagine Me & You) is on the cover of Entertainment Weekly. Headey’s cover is one of four Game of Thrones collector’s editions.

Whoopi Goldberg, Kate Hudson and Kathy Bates star in the cancer comedy A Little Bit of Heaven. Laughter is the best medicine.

Deadline reports Pariah actress Adepero Oduye has signed on for Lifetime’s Steel Magnolias. The reboot will also star Queen Latifah, Phylicia Rashad, Jill Scott and Alfre Woodard.

Lesbian comedian Julie Goldman (The Big Gay Sketch Show) is taking her talents to the basketball court. Well, sort of. On Monday, April 2, Goldman will headline SWISH (the Women’s Slam Dunk Weekend during the NCAA Women’s Final Four Final Four Basketball Tournament) at the EXDO Event Center (1399 35th St.) in Denver, Colorado. Goldman’s comedy show begins at 7:30 p.m. with a 9 p.m. dance party to follow.

Tomorrow The Hunger Games‘ Elizabeth Banks will stop by The Ellen DeGeneres Show and actress/songstress Kristin Chenoweth will sit down with the out talk show host on Wednesday.

Lesbian/Bi Photo of the Day!

On Sunday night I received a pleasant surprise. The great Lily Tomlin appeared on my television screen during the latest episode of Eastbound & Down. The out actress/my idol is guest starring as antihero Kenny Power’s mother on the crass HBO series. Here’s a look at her character:
