Afternoon Delight: Lea Seydoux on “playing the man” in “Blue is the Warmest Color,” Katee Sackhoff on playing fake gay in “Riddick”

Good afternoon, happy Monday and happy Memorial Day!

Take a gander as the cast and director of Blue is the Warmest Color sat down to promote their award winning film. Actress Lea Seydoux discussed her weight gain to play the role of Emma and said,”She has a body, not massive but she’s heavier than me. I was carrying that because I’m supposed to play the man.” Um, what?

Battlestar Galactica‘s Katee Sackhoff dished on her new movie role in Riddick and revealed that her character, Dahl, is straight but pretends to be gay. Sackoff said, “She’s a mercenary. She’s the only woman on this ship with guys for months, years at a time. She’s straight, but she lets people believe that she’s gay because it protects her in this environment, emotionally and physically. I understand where she’s coming from. She’s just tough. I actually wanted to make her tougher and shave my head, but the director wouldn’t let me.” I bet Sackhoff would look hot with a shaved head.

And click here to see a black and white photo of Sackhoff and her BSG costar and real-life bff Tricia Helfer in a naked embrace.
