Afternoon Delight: Kristen Stewart in her “Snow White” armor, Melissa Etheridge gets a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Happy birthday to Mulholland Drive‘s Naomi Watts, Sweet Travel founder Shannon Wentworth and Mandy Musgrave’s real-life hubby and former South of Nowhere co-star Matt Cohen. Obviously, Cohen isn’t a gay woman but he did play an MTF character in the lesbian webseries Cowgirl Up.

Speaking of Watts, on Monday, October 17, Elle will honor Watts along with bisexual actress Evan Rachel Wood, Barbra Streisand, Elizabeth Olsen, Jennifer Aniston, Viola Davis, Michelle Pfeiffer, Frieda Pinto and Dreamworks CEO Stacey Snider at their 18th annual Women in Hollywood event. The ceremony will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA.

Charlie’s Angels‘ producer Drew Barrymore stars alongside Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars) in Big Miracle. The film, inspired by true events, follows a group of people campaigning to save a family of gray whales trapped by rapidly forming ice in the Arctic Circle. (This movie is totally going to make me cry.)

Tonight Happy Endings Season 2 premieres on ABC at 9:30pm. And make sure to tune in to this season’s third episode where Will & Grace‘s Megan Mullally will guest star as Casey Wilson’s mother.

Wilson revealed that Mullally’s character is an “eternal optimist. They’re sort of like the Gilmore Girls. They were always best friends rather than mother/daughter.” (On a side note, MadTV‘s parody of Gilmore Girls is hysterical.)

High school freshman Jamey Rodemeyer took his own life after being endlessly bullied for being bisexual. Rodemeyer’s older sister Alyssa (who found her brother’s body) appeared on Anderson Cooper 360 and explained that even after her brother’s passing the anti-gay bullies continued to taunt him saying “they were glad he was dead.”

How I Met your Mother and former Buffy star Alyson Hannigan is the face (or should I say head) of Head & Shoulders shampoo. Check out the behind the scenes shot where Hannigan, the H&S’s official female ambassador, encourages her co-star to relieve her itchy scalp.

For those of you that don’t already own Bridesmaids on DVD, check out another extended scene where Kristen Wiig gets schooled by a young uppity costumer. My favorite Wiig line is, “Farts are not a solid!” No truer words have ever been spoken.

And speaking of Bridesmaids, Melissa McCarthy is on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter. The Mike & Molly star dishes on making her own Emmy dress and her numerous upcoming projects.

Watch McCarthy’s photo shoot below.

Congratulations to Melissa Etheridge! On Tuesday, the out rocker received her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. During the star’s unveiling Etheridge said, “Let my life be an inspiration to anyone, gay, straight, breast cancer, woman, mother, any human being who receives the inspiration from my story.”

If you’re an Etheridge fan then consider bidding on her custom-made pink guitar. Two pink Adamas 1598-MEII Melissa Etheridge signature model 12 string guitars have been created specifically for the Hard Rock’s Pinktober campaign aiding breast cancer awareness. One guitar is currently being auditioned off on Ebay with 100% of its proceeds going to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Etheridge will autograph and personalize the guitar so, if you’re interested, then hop to it because there are only eight days left to bid.

E! Online has a few behind-the-scenes photos of Kristen Stewart on the set of Snow White and the Huntsman. I remember the cartoon Snow White being a lot less intimidating.

Speaking of Snow White remakes, Five‘s Ginnifer Goodwin will also portray the famous princess in ABC’s drama Once Upon a Time. The fairytale series premiers October 23 at 8 p.m.

On Friday, October 7, the all-female queer drag king troupe All the Kings Men will be performing at the Oberon (2 Arrow Street, Cambridge, MA) at 7:30pm.

Lesbian/Bi Photo of the Day

Glee‘s Jane Lynch tweeted a photo of herself holding hands with Chelsea Handler’s sidekick, Chuy Bravo. Lynch will appear on Chelsea Lately next Thursday, October 6. I can’t wait!
