Afternoon Delight: Jennifer Lawrence goes backless, Lady Gaga says no more interviews

Good afternoon and TGIF! We survived another work week. How about we attempt it again on Monday?

Happy birthday to Gilmore GirlsLauren Graham, Heart‘s Nancy Wilson and model Peaches Geldof! (In the below W magazine photograph from 2009, Geldof is on the right posing with Daisy Lowe. You’re welcome!)

If you enjoy vampires and disco music then check out the trailer for Tim Burton‘s Dark Shadows starring Eva Green (Cracks), Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp.

Not to overhype this but out artist Sia tweeted the best tweet in the history of all tweets.

Only one more week until The Hunger Games hits theaters in the US. To tide you (and mostly me) over, check out star Jennifer Lawrence‘s sexy backless dress at last night’s Paris premiere.

In awesome news, Megan Fox and Zoe Saldana will be teaming up to star in and produce the action/heist film Swindle.

Mark your calendars for An Afternoon of Queer Female Artists! On Sunday, April 22 join me at Very Venice Art Gallery (1629 Venice Blvd, Venice, CA) for a free event celebrating talented queer women in the arts. The event will run from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and feature the work of Designs by Dewberries, Dalila Ali Rajah, Adriana Torres, Amy Turner, Diana Yanez and moi. I will be making fresh chocolate chip cookies so if you hate my art hopefully you’ll still enjoy the snacks.

Lady Gaga has decided to take a time out from all media interviews. Has the superstar run out of crazy outfits and awesome things to say in support of the LGBT community? Nope, she just wants to be left alone. After this Sunday’s interview with Oprah, Gaga says, “I do not intend to speak to anyone for a very long time. No press, no television. If my mom calls and says, ‘Did you hear about’ I shut it all off.” (Five bucks says she’ll be on The View by summer.)

Last night Tello Film’s executive producer Christin Mell and I were interviewed about the second season of my mockumentary series McManusland and our latest project The Throwaways, a gritty drama about gay homeless youth struggling to survive, co-starring AE’s own Mia Jones. Take a listen to our hour long interview to see what else Tello has on the docket.

Lesbian/Bi Photo of the Day!

Out actress Jane Lynch posed with Modern Family‘s Jesse Tyler Ferguson at the premiere of the play 8.
