Afternoon Delight: Ellen Page talks porn

Good afternoon everyone!

If you want a recap of yesterday’s landmark rulings check out NewNowNext’s coverage of the Supreme Court decisions. I went to the rally in West Hollywood last night, and so did NewNowNext!

As if the revolutionary Edie Windsor hasn’t done enough for the LGBT community, today she announced that she’s making it her mission to get Christine Quinn elected as the next Mayor of New York.

Blue is the Warmest Color star Léa Seydoux is naked in and all over Marie Claire France’s July issue. Not that I’m complaining.

The Hunger Games will be at this year’s Comic-Con. No word yet if star and our Hot 100 winner Jennifer Lawrence will make an appearance, but we’ll keep you posted. The Hunger Games panel will take place on Saturday, July 20 and will debut a new exclusive video from the upcoming film Catching Fire.

Speaking of The Hunger Games, rumor has it Julianne Moore is up for a role in the next film Mockingjay. Moore is being considered to play President Alma Coin and I think she’s a perfect choice for that role.

On the New York stage Jane Lynch is portraying the evil Miss Hannigan in Broadway’s Annie but the film version will star Cameron Diaz as the alcoholic orphanage matron. I’ve always said Diaz is Lynch’s doppelganger.

In a recent interview Ellen Page discussed the lack of female roles in Hollywood and the feminist porn movement. Page said, “I think feminist porn is crucial. To only have porn from the male perspective is damaging. Women are sexual creatures, as much as men and that needs to be embraced.” Hear, hear!

India Arie sings about equality in her new song “One.” Here are some of her song’s lyrics:

Whether you are red, brown, yellow, black or white
A man with a husband or a woman with a wife
We can debate until the end of time who’s wrong and who is right
Or we can see ourselves as one
‘Cause it all comes down to love

Stephen Colbert confirms (what I already knew) that the Constitution is in fact gay. This is an oldie but goodie.

The Heat’s Melissa McCarthy graces the cover of More magazine.

My childhood icons Laverne and Shirley, played by Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams, will be reuniting for the Nickelodeon sitcom Sam & Cat.

Out Illinois politician Deb Mell stopped by Fox News to discuss DOMA, her marriage to Tellofilms founder Christin Baker and the future of gay marriage in the United States.

If you’re a fan of the 1980s cartoon Jem and the Holograms and you aren’t easily offended, then consider viewing this this extreme NSFW video “Jiz: Kimber is a Dirty Lezzie.” (You’ve been warned.)

Video of the Day!

This morning, YouTube posted a moving video entitled “Show Your Pride. Share your love. #ProudToLove.” (Did you know YouTube has its own YouTube channel?)
