Out artist Sinead O’Connor is very pleased that the Pope is retiring. O’Connor wrote on her website, “I would like to congratulate Pope Benedict on his wise decision to retire before the very worst of what has been going on is discovered. An Indiana high school is trying to ban gay students from attending their own prom. Teens, parents and teachers at Sullivan High School want all queer students barred from the event. A “Support The Sullivan High School Prom For All Students” Facebook page has been created in support the school’s LGBTQ community. Please “like” the page if you have time.
