Afternoon Delight: Bianca Lawson to play a counselor on “Teen Wolf,” a lesbian Sasquatch hunter on “Finding Bigfoot”

Good afternoon and happy Friday!

Happy birthday The Big Gay Sketch Show‘s Kate McKinnon and Babel actress Rinko Kikuchi!

Megan Fox makes a cameo in the 2012 Academy Awards promo. (When I think of the Oscars, my mind immediately goes to Megan Fox.)

This might be the most exciting I’ve ever heard! A lesbian biologist is hunting for Sasquatch in the Animal Planet series Finding Bigfoot. Lesbians and Bigfoot are two of my favorite things. (I also enjoy caramel and Summer Heights High.) Out lesbian Ranae Holland is one of the four skeptic scientists on the series and has said, “I didn’t believe in Bigfoot.” (A lesbian skeptic, isn’t that redundant?) Watch Holland prove or disprove the legendary myth Sundays at 10 p.m. on Animal Planet.

Scream queen Sarah Polley (Dawn of the Dead) is donning her director’s hat once again. Polley is set to direct her second film, based on Margaret Atwood‘s novel Alias Grace.

If you’re a Parks and Recreation super fan (like me and Trish) then check the official campaign poster for Amy Poehler‘s character Leslie Knope (“Knope We Can in 2012”) and her official campaign website.

David Fincher‘s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo took on Berlin yesterday. Rooney Mara looked doe-like as showed off her upper midriff at the film’s photocall in Germany. (If Hollywood decided to make a third Snow White film, I think Mara should be cast in the title role.)

Pretty Little Liars actress Bianca Lawson is heading to Teen Wolf. Lawson will play Ms. Morrell, “Beacon Hills high school’s guidance counselor who becomes an ally to several characters” for at least four episodes of the popular MTV series. Teen Wolf‘s Season 2 will debut this summer.

The lesbian musical duo That’s What She Said (comprised of Kathryn Lounsbery and Amy Turner) are headlining Palm Springs’ Out for Laughs with the Girls on January 19 at Hunters Night Club at 8 pm.

Lesbian/Bi Tweet of the Day!

Private Practice‘s Amy Brenneman retweeted her support of a lesbian relationship between her character, Violet, and star Kate Walsh‘s Addison. I also support this union.
