Happy birthday to LGBT supporter and Dancing with the Stars contestant Ricki Lake!
On October 2, Portia de Rossi will reunite with her Arrested Development cast mates at The New Yorker Festival. The cast will sit on a panel (and discuss how awesome they are and how their show should have never been canceled in the first place). The 4 p.m. event will take place at Acura at SIR Stage37 (408 West 37th Street).
By the time I finished the movie I’d been sent maybe 15 vibrators by different people in London with vibrator stores. It was a pleasant surprise. So I have this incredible collection, and I actually use like one or two of them. I lend them to my friends, and they’ll take them for six months at a time. [While shooting Hysteria] I was sent a lot of vibrators from different sex stores in England while we were shooting the movie. I shared them around.
This should sound odd to me, but since my sister works for a sex-toy store I’m used to getting inappropriate birthday presents.
George Clooney is known for his on-set hijinx. Out actress Evan Rachel Wood got a little taste of Clooney’s deviousness while shooting the political film Ides of March. Wood told E!, “He (Clooney) did film me when I didn’t think anybody was watching me dancing to Justin Bieber. And he said he was going to put it on the DVD, so I’m waiting to see. You know, you can’t take yourself seriously all the time. You have to have fun, man.” I want a copy of that DVD immediately! Also if you like Wood’s cropped hair, don’t worry, it’s here to stay. Wood says, “I love it. I have wigs, so it’ll be fine.”
House’s Olivia Wilde will re-team with her Change-Up co-star Jason Bateman for the film The Longest Week. Bateman will play a rich man who gets cut off from his family’s inheritance, but he has Wilde so he shouldn’t be complaining. The film is based on the short film A Relationship in Four Day by screenwriter Peter Glantz and has no release date as of yet.
Bello’s new show, Prime Suspect, premieres tomorrow night on NBC and I will definitely be tuning in!
For all you theater fans, the Tony Award-winning musical Wicked will be returning to Los Angeles’ Pantages Theater on November 30 and will run through January 29, 2012.
