Afternoon Delight: A first look at Queen Latifah’s “Joyful Noise,” Anna Faris to host “Saturday Night Live”

Happy birthday to Terminator 2: Judgment Day‘s Linda Hamilton (55) and tennis champion Serena Williams (30). Yesterday But I’m a Cheerleader‘s Clea Duvall celebrated her 34th birthday.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is on the cover of Health magazine. In the October issue, the Ringer star discusses her love of sushi, having body dysmorphic disorder and going into labor at the gym. (One more reason to avoid the gym!)

As we’ve previously reported, Dolly Parton has teamed up with Queen Latifah in the film Joyful Noise. The musical comedy is about an “unlikely partnership between two strong-minded women who are forced to work together to save a small town gospel choir after budget cuts threaten to shut them down.” Check out the film’s trailer below. (My mother always told me that if you have nothing nice to say, then you shouldn’t say anything at all. So I’m not going to say anything about this awful looking film.)

LGBT supporter Cyndi Lauper will be taking her true colors and knockout voice to Club Nokia on Friday, November 4.

While combing through the LAWeekly, I came across a photo of two cartoon women covering their bare cartoon breasts with bowling balls and watermelons. That’s good marketing! The poster is for a play called Busting Out!, about a two women exposing the “hilarious truth about breasts!” I didn’t realize breasts were that complicated. The show starts October 12 at The Hayworth Theater.

On October 15, The House Bunny‘s Anna Faris will be hosting Saturday Night Live. Faris, who hosted SNL in 2008, is promoting her new romantic comedy What’s Your Number?

Can’t get enough of Black Swan‘s Mila Kunis? Then watch her giggle her way through the Friends With Benefits blooper reel. FWB will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on December 2.

Over the weekend, Lady Gaga honored the late Jamey Rodemeyer (the 14-year old boy who committed suicide after being bullied for being gay) during her performance of “Hair” at the Las Vegas iHeartRadio Music festival. Gaga then attended a $38,500 per couple fundraiser for President Obama with the aim to discuss the issue of bullying. No word if Gaga and Obama had a meeting of the minds but, knowing her, I’m sure she didn’t take “no” for an answer.

Today, out actress Lindsay Lohan started her new modeling gig. Lohan, the face of German designer Philipp Plein‘s new clothing collection, posed on the waterfront in Bellagio, Italy. Check out some behind the scenes shots of Lohan.

Tonight at 9 p.m, tune in to see the premiere of Rachel Bilson‘s new series Hart of Dixie. Exes & Oh’s creator and star Michelle Paradise is on The CW show’s writing staff so you know the show will be funny.
