AfterEllen.com’s Summer of Love: Reviews of lesbian romance novels all summer long
We love a good romance novel here at AfterEllen, so much so that we are dedicating the entire summer to the genre. Starting June 5th, each week a different writer will be reviewing a romance novel on the site. When we suggested the idea to our wonderful writers, the excitement about the project was palpable, and we hope you feel the same way.
Queer romance doesn’t get its due, and we hope that the project helps introduce new readers to the genre, as well as giving established fans enough new material to keep them reading all summer long. Some of the novels are from popular publishers like Bold Strokes Books, Bella Books and Rose and Star Press, but some are also independently published.
Here is the list of titles we will be reviewing:
Lilies of the Bowery by Lily Mason
London Calling by Clare Lydon
Stars Collide by HP Munro
Heart of the Game by Rachel Spangler
Forever and a Knight by Bridget Essex
Let the Lover Be by Sheree Greer
Her Name in the Sky by Kelly Quinlen
The Rainbow Cedar by Gerri Hill
Desire at Dawn by Fiona Zedde
Twice Lucky by Mardi Alexander
Same Time Next Week by Emily Smith
T-Minus 2 by KG MacGregor
Conflict of Interest by Jae
The Diplomat by Sophia French
While we have enough titles for Summer of Love, we’d like to know what your favorite romance titles and authors are. Be sure to check back every Friday this summer to read the latest review.
