"A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila" Recaps: Episode 1.1

This show is the most magnificent train-wreck I have ever seen. Well this and the latest edition of the Real World. Gawd, those girls make me feel so sad inside.

I wonder, during the cast calls, what questions they ask to find these people, who are CLEARLY semi-crazy. They go after people who are the extreme of every personality you can think of. And then they have the nerve to provide them with alcohol. They're adding fuel to the fire. These are the sick freaking geniuses of American t.v.

Karman, youre awesome. You are a comic genius. Ohh, you're too good. You're just too damn good.

This show is a prime example of how silly, weird and pointless reality tv is these days...and yet so many intelleigent, sensible people watch it!! its crazy lol. but in saying that, i won't be watching the programme but i will def be reading Karmans blog every week....i haven't laughed that hard in ages!! loved the blog...keep up the hilarious work karman! : )

So I jus happen to land on the show when flipping through the T.V. so I said "what the hell, why not watch it?" WRONG idea.

I figured out she was with the guys the first half hour, and that half hour, was a half hour I'll never get back, but nevertheless it was definitely muted. So I watched the girls version thinking it would be better, the only highlight was when they were making out even that wasn't a highlight.

I'm so happy I realized you did recaps of this, since SON is over I have no life.

Oh and that blonde was hot too. haha

Karman ur comments are just too funny and I can't believe I'm missing this show, I love watching stuff like:

1. A guy telling a girl he's a virgin after singing a lousy song to her while using a rose as a microphone (let's pretend we believe he's a virgin), no wonder! with those romantinc skills, I mean every girl would fall for that right? .....what a loser! I would so indeed NEXT! his ass

2. A guy saying "I've never dated an Asian chick before but I love chinese food" are u kidding me? who says that on national tv, who says that at all? it reminded me of this blonde chick on Next! saying: "this guy better not next me 'cause I'm exotic, I'm half white, half caucasian" ...where do they find these ppl??

3. Someone giving Tila Tequila a Kama Sutra kit, now that's the perfect present for her indeed.

okay, so the show is pretty freaking awful but im still going to watch it.

tila seriously needs to firm her grasp of the english language. her accent drives me crazy, and who the heck says "a bisexual'? she's killing me with her grammar.

and then the guys... it's ridiculous. they picked the biggest bunch of meatheads and losers they could find. it's strange to me that they picked women who seemed relatively level headed, and then men that were just dickwads. i couldnt believe the guy who told tila he'd been delivering pizzas and living on his mother's couch. did he really think she'd want a slice of his pepperoni? you could put a straight girl in that house, and if she had half a brain, she'd shoot herself before dating any of them.

granted im biased, but the women just seemed a lot more... normal. although the fact that theyre on the show and trying to get with tila does mean something has to be off. here's what im wondering, though - if you put a bunch of men competing for a woman in a house together, theyre going to kill each other. but if you put a bunch of lesbians competing for a woman in a house together, theyre going to hook up with each other first before throwing daggers. mtv's got me hooked, but not for tila. im more interested in seeing if any of these girls will realize theyre a lot more attractive than she is, and change the rules of the competition.

oh and one more thing - those previews for the season looked sick. she definitely gets hot and heavy with some of the guys, but the girl-on-girl action looked intense. they showed a scene where she cries and yells, come back to someone in the dark. and maybe it was just me, but she seemed to mean it. the guys on the show are as deep as kiddie pools, so i just dont see her reacting to one of them like that. but the girls are another story. as trashy and out there as tila is, she does seem sincere in her excitement and emotion about women.

...so ill be watching. and looking forward to more awesome recaps. and refraining from these long ass commentaries.

while watching this program but it wasn't that awful. Tila isn't a total airhead and some of her commentary about the contestants was funny. Sorry to say, but Tila is better looking than more than half of those female contestants save for Rebecca, Ashli and the chick with the beautiful eyes. I don't even bother looking at the butchies and I am shocked Tila didn't boot them off first. I am not going to join the bisexual hate so I will keep my lips sealed on that one.

 But booze and everybody crying on this show=good times!!

this is as big a trainwreck as any reality show i have seen. but man, the preview of the season at the end...it's gonna get waaaay ugly before it's all over.

i get a little wiggy when i see people toying with my sisters, and i see that happening in this show. grrr...

I watched this show! The whole time I thinking that this is such a travesty. Must, watch, next, week!! It's a mess, this show but what can i say? I'm a sucker for the madness.

Even though this whole show misrepresent bisexuals, I just can't get enough of it. It's really entertaining and hilarious at the same time. Most of the female contestants are hot--I'm into lipstick lesbians, what can I say.

 As for Tila, I find her to be slutty and unattractive in many angles. When will BRAVO have a dating reality show that serves to the lesbians/bisexuals ?

 Can't wait for next week.

Amanda is such a nasty nasty person. I wanted to like her because she's thicker than most of the others, but seriously, she's rotten. I want to kick her.

Dani is phenomenally hot! She also has by far the best personality -- she's the only one who actually dressed in something meaningful. I hope she stays for a good long while -- though come to think of it, I can't see her and Tila really hitting it off.

As a bisexual, I have to say I thought maybe two of those guys were worth a moment of conversation, the rest were all so... typical, ugh!

Also I wish Tila weren't so freaking wishy-washy! I suppose it is too much to ask for a bisexual who is actually confident in her sexuality.

Tila toys with people's hearts (even though reality TV contestants are unlikely to be so serious with their emotions). MTV toys with Tila's image (even though Tila would probably not mind that much). We toy with the whole show (even though we are rightly justified for doing so).

i just watched the second episode... and it was just as amazing as the first.

you are so fucking lucky to be employed by people who tell you to watch and recap such a show.

i LOVE domenico, rebecca, alex, and maybe vanessa. i liked her interaction with ashley.

but domenico is my pick. he would be my shot at love. easily.

fuck yeah she called marcus out... he was such a waste of screen time, which is saying ALOT... as trashtastic as the show is.

should be kicked off: the mom's couch loser who just wants

1- lesbians in foam [HELLO... how dumb is he?!]
2- a house that isn't the one he grew up in
3- any breathing living woman between 12 and 70.

... as well as the majority of guys who siad something dumb about lesbians/girls, Domenico, or the ones named Ashley. 30 bucks that shoulda been put toward a book.
... and also Amanda. i can't remember who else.

above all..... Domenico is easily the coolest person in the house. and i would marry him.

reality shows are stupid but i must confess i just watched both episodes of this show. i'm not sure who i dislike more the men or the women. i think that idiot marcus definitely has to go just because he's a disrespectful jackass. i think lala made the smartest move by not subjecting herself any further to a dramatic reality show death.

i like the little italian guy...he's funny. and i'm waiting anxiously to see who falls off the stripper pole...good times!

This show was hard for me to watch....    Having dated bi-sexual women for most of my life, this show hits a nerve for me.  Since I am currently dating a married woman (I know, I know)  I have a bit of a problem with shows like this.  As Karmen nicely explained, the men looked like they hit the lottery and the women looked like they wanted their money back.  There is a difference between the two and it is not fair.  No man will truly feel uncomfortable by having scantily-clad women prance around in bikinis, yet a lesbian will feel very irritated by straight men ogling them at every turn.  Once again, a set up to make gay people look equal yet inferior.  I hope that this show is still going on when I go to Vegas in month and I hop ehtat betting on reality shows is legal.  I will make a buck betting that Tila picks a man.  It is more marketable, socially acceptable, and more likely to get her another spot on TV int eh future.  Too bad, because I liked her after I watched the show.  But she has to make money too!

 Having said all that, I love bad reality TV and was hoping this wouldn't make me want to vomit.

Maybe my expectations were just too low that I ended up liking it. The show is okay..so far. I had a few laugh out loud moments. And Tila's okay too.

I'm rooting for Rebecca and Vanessa. Though I personally like Brandi.

Am I the only one that knew Tila was bi even before there was a show? I feel like I'm completely alone on this.

Oh, and thank God someone else noticed who Amanda was and her idiotic comments.

I was trying to reply to someone's comment earlier about Tila repeatedly saying she was "a" bisexual but somehow my comment got put in the wrong place. I was just trying to say that I had noticed it also and thought it was odd.

 Also I didn't finish reading through the comments yet so don't know if anyone else mentioned it but I was so offended by Amanda's comment on the show about butch girls being creepy. I am "a" femme bisexual(Lol) and I just found that comment so out of line and was angry that the producers would even put it in(I clearly overestimate MTV). And then lo and behold it turns out she used to have a butch gf? What is up w/ that? Homegirl has been drinking to much tequila!
