A Timeline of Lesbian Weddings

When Callie and Arizona say "I do" this May on Grey's Anatomy, it will be one of only a handful of lesbian weddings to ever make it to the big or small screen. It will be a landmark for visibility because, for the first time ever, the wedding will happen on-camera during primetime network television, and it will feature two leading characters. We've made a timeline so we can look back at how far we've come since Ross gave away his ex-wife Susan on Friends' "The One with the Lesbian Wedding."
