The fifth season of The L Word kicks off on Showtime on January 6, and we've gathered all of the new promo photos here to give you a glimpse at what's in store for the new season.

The photos don't contain any spoilers, so you're free to look as much as you like without fear of inadvertently learning things you didn't want to know before watching the show — like that Shane has renounced her old ways and joined a nunnery, for example, or that Bette and Tina have teamed up to go on The Amazing Race together in the hopes that it will strengthen their relationship (because that's worked so well for other exes).

Speaking of Bette, she is oddly nowhere to be found in these photos, and neither is Helena. On the other hand, neither is Papi, so I guess it all evens out...
