Ever Mainard is by far the hardest working lady on this list. Performing most every night of the week, she is one of the go-to names for in the scene. She manages to hold down gigs co-hosting her own showcase, The Shit Show, performs as a member of Chicago Underground Comedy and teaches both her own class, Get Riffed, but also at the esteemed Second City. If that’s not enough, she manages to win hearts at festivals in her free time.
I mean, there’s no way that I’d leave The Lady James Dean off of any comedy list, but it’s Rhea’s resume that really makes her one of the best. A midwest transplant, Rhea recently made her way to LA where she hit the ground running producing and hosting Qweirdo at UCB. She also co-hosts a movie podcast, Wham Bam Pow, and is a regular performer at Put Your Hands Together.
Starting her comedy career in Denver, Mo has made a very big name for herself in a short period of time. Recently moving to LA, she hosts her own monthly showcase, The Mo Show, at The Nerd Melt Theater the third Saturday of the month. She is also a purveyor of fine web videos, and is set to put out her debut album with Rooftop Comedy Records this year.
I remember when I first stumbled upon Deanne i felt like I had found COMEDIC GOLD. Seems I’m not the only one who felt that way, seeing she has won more awards than I can count and created some of the most popular showcases in Montreal. She was on Last Comic Standing and The Late Late Show, and will be featured at the upcoming Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. Pretty much, she’s a big deal.
Eliza is one of those comedians that you MUST SEE. She’s bitingly outspoken, straightforward and raw, combining a keen self-awareness with the nuances of awkwardness. She can be seen at the UCB Theater in LA performing musical improv with Diamond Lion.
